“The Lion of Judah” print with lettering in real gold

This year (2018) I had the privilege of painting “The Lion of Judah” as a special commission for a church leader. For more information of the significance of “The Lion of Judah”, click here.
I have the permission to produce up to 70 limited edition prints, to extend the way this painting can bless people.

“The Lion of Judah”, oil on canvas, 61x61cm (24×24″), private commission, SOLD

This painting is available as a stand-alone print, but someone suggested to me the idea of putting the title underneath, and the regal nature of the Lion calls for something extra-special.

Gold symbolises royalty and value. It is, by nature, valuable and precious. It reflects light in an incomparable way. I have therefore been learning how to gild – taking lessons and advice from experts and artists who work with gold.

I hope these images display how beautifully reflective and rich the text looks. Gold paint just pales in comparison to this.

The gilding process takes several hours and is a staged process, but despite this painstaking method, the results are worth it. The King is worth our highest esteem and honour.

Example of lettering, numbering and signature.

There are two options.

“The Lion of Judah” fine art print, mounted in white, signed and numbered, with title gilded in 23.75 karat gold

This print is 41x46cm (16×18″) including the mount. The image size is 28cm (11″) square. The title “The Lion of Judah” is hand-written in archaic, calligraphy-style lettering, and gilded by hand in 23.75 karat gold. This makes an inspiring, unique gift. I will only be doing a certain amount of these, so don’t delay! Price includes postage to UK mainland. Postage to other countries will require a small extra charge.

“The Lion of Judah” print – unframed, unmounted, 30.5×30.5cm (12×12″).

This high quality fine art print on German Hahnemulle Etching paper is signed and numbered in pencil, with a generous border to allow for your own mounting and framing preferences. Price includes postage to UK mainland. Postage to other countries will require a small extra charge.

It’s always lovely to personalise things, so I am open to the idea of people choosing their own words – up to five words maximum.
Or, I am willing to gild the title in Hebrew or any other language.
